Over the past several weeks, we've been exploring the spiritual gifts God gives His people to build up the Church and expand His kingdom. These gifts are more than talents or learned skills. They are supernatural abilities given by the Holy Spirit to help us serve others and draw attention—not to ourselves—but to Jesus.

This week we begin looking at what we call the Word Gifts. These gifts help us understand, communicate, and apply God's truth. Through them, God reveals His nature, His character, and His purposes. They help us know who God is, who He is not, what He loves, and what He calls His people to become. Whether through teaching, encouragement, or pioneering new ministry, these gifts help God's Word inform our minds and transform our lives.

As we worship together, I encourage you to listen not only for information but for transformation. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how He has uniquely gifted you and where He may be calling you to serve. The Church is strongest when every believer uses the gifts God has given them for the good of others and the glory of Christ.

If you have questions about spiritual gifts or would like help discerning how God may be calling you to serve, please reach out. I'd be honored to help you discover greater alignment between your life, your gifts, and God's calling.

All for Him!

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Benediction

Life is much more than an accident.  Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there.  Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there.  He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.  I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.

Bottom Line:

God's Word informs and transforms.

TAKE IT HOME:

The Gift of Teaching –

Acts 2:42-47; 2 Timothy 2:15

How has God's Word shaped your life beyond simply informing your mind? What step of obedience is God calling you to take based on something you already know to be true?

The Gift of Exhortation –

Acts 4:32-37; Heb 10:24-25

Who in your life needs encouragement, comfort, or loving correction this week? How might God use your words to strengthen someone in their faith journey?

The Gift of Apostleship –

Acts 13:1-3; Eph 4:11-13

Where is God calling you to step beyond your comfort zone for the sake of His mission? How can you help advance the Gospel in your family, workplace, community, or beyond?

Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts –

Rom 12:6-8; 1 Cor 12:27-31

Which of these Word Gifts resonates most deeply with you? What evidence have you seen that God may be using you to explain His truth, encourage His people, or advance His mission?
