Worship Program - 11/8/26

Welcome to Worship!
Have you ever wondered what people see when they look at us as believers? Do they see people who love one another, treat others with kindness, and remain hopeful when life gets difficult? Or do they see people who are just as angry, divided, and frustrated as everyone else?
As followers of Jesus, we're called to live differently. That doesn't mean compromising what we believe or remaining silent when we should speak the truth. It means allowing Jesus to shape both our words and our actions so that we communicate His truth with grace and love.
This week, as we continue our Stand Firm series from the letter 1 Peter, we'll discover how our response to difficult people and circumstances can become an opportunity to point others toward Jesus.
Our message is called “Give Them a Reason to Ask.” My prayer is that God will help us become people whose lives cause others to ask about the hope we have in Christ.
We're glad you're worshiping with us this week!
All for Him!

Give Them a Reason to Ask
1 Peter 3:8-22
Love Like Family
Our relationships demonstrate our love of Jesus in both our actions and our words.
Live So People Ask
We represent Jesus when we stand firm in the truth and communicate it with gentleness and respect.
Remember Who Wins
Because Jesus has secured our salvation and victory, we can speak truth and show grace without fear.
Three things to remember not to forget:
1. Show grace in the way you treat people.
2. Speak truth with grace.
3. Be ready to explain your hope.
Bottom Line:
“Live So They Wonder Why”
Take it Home
Monday: Love Like Family — 1 Peter 3:8Our love, compassion, and humility should help others see the character of Jesus in us.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, replace my pride with humility. Help me love others as You have loved me. Amen.
Tuesday: Respond with Blessing — 1 Peter 3:9–12When others offend us, Jesus calls us to respond with grace rather than retaliation, speaking truth while pursuing peace.
Prayer: Father, guard my words and attitudes. Help me respond with kindness and seek peace even when it's difficult. Amen.
Wednesday: Stand Firm with Grace — 1 Peter 3:13–15We can stand firm in biblical truth without becoming fearful, angry, or argumentative because Jesus is Lord.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me courage to speak truth and the grace to treat those who disagree with me respectfully. Amen.
Thursday: Explain Your Hope — 1 Peter 3:15–16Our actions should make people curious about Jesus, and our words should help them understand why.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, prepare me to share my faith with confidence, gentleness, and respect when opportunities arise. Amen.
Friday: Remember Who Wins — 1 Peter 3:18–22Jesus suffered for our sins, rose from the dead, and reigns over every power. His victory gives us confidence to stand firm.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, remind me that my hope rests in Your resurrection, not my circumstances or others' approval. Amen.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Articles from the recently published Global Methodist Church Articles of Faith:
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, truly God and truly human, the eternal Word made flesh, in whom the divine and human natures are perfectly and inseparably united, without division, confusion, or change. As to his divine nature, he is of one and the same substance as the Father. As to his human nature, he is of one and the same substance as us, yet without sin. The only eternally begotten Son of the Father, he was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. He truly suffered, was crucified, died for our sins, and was raised bodily from the dead. Having ascended to the throne of heaven, he is our eternal Savior and Mediator who reigns over all things and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.
We believe God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. The offering of Christ, once made, is the perfect atonement, redemption, propitiation, and satisfaction for the sins of the whole world, both original and actual; and there is no other satisfaction for sin.
