Thank you for joining us for worship this week. My prayer is that while you are with us your faith is refreshed. That you find our time in prayer and worship to be just what your soul needs after a long week. And we all leave inspired to follow Jesus more closely.
Today we are beginning a new message series titled Firm Foundations. We are looking at the essential doctrines of our historic Christian faith and discovering how each of them impacts our lives. We are all building things we want to last, maybe it is a business, a career, a family, a reputation, or a relationship. The same is true of our faith; we will spend the next several weeks studying the principles and doctrines that have proven themselves over centuries. Today we start with probably the most imporatnt, the Doctrine of Scripture.
If you didn’t know, our church is one of three sister churches here in Rock Hall who share the same mission, to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of our community and the world.
Everyone is welcome here because no one here is perfect, but together anything can happen.
The same power that was at work in Jesus is transforming our lives, and our community as we live out our faith - sharing and showing God’s love - by serving our neighbors and telling the story of His love working in our lives.

Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.
I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.
