Welcome to Worship!
We’re so glad you’ve joined us today! Whether this is your first time with us or you’ve been part of our church family for years, it’s a joy to worship together. Today, we continue our journey through Scripture by turning to 2 Samuel 6, where King David seeks to bring the Ark of the Covenant—God’s very presence—back to Jerusalem.
But this is more than just a story about an ancient relic. It’s a powerful reminder that how we worship matters. In a world that often says, “If it feels good, it must be right,” we’re challenged to ask: What does God actually desire from those who worship Him?
David learned that passion and celebration weren’t enough. True worship requires obedience, reverence, and joy that flows from honoring God’s Word. Today’s message, “The Worshipper,” helps us explore what it looks like to worship God His way—not ours.
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus who:
Gather in worship and community,
Grow in our understanding and application of God’s Word,
And Serve one another and the world in love.
Thank you for being with us this morning. We pray that today helps you grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus and gives you a fresh perspective on what it means to truly worship.
If you have any questions about our church or want help growing in your faith, I’d love to connect with you. Use the card in the pew, or reach out directly at 410-639-2144.
Let’s worship the Lord—not just with music, but with our whole lives.
Welcome Home!
All for Him!

Benediction | Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am. I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power. |

Message Notes
David #20: The Worshipper
2 Samuel 6
Worship must be grounded in God's Word. (vv. 1–5)
Good intentions don’t override clear disobedience.
Worship without reverence is Disobedience. (vv. 6–11)
Familiarity with God must never replace fear of God.
Worship that honors God brings Joy. (vv. 12–15)
When worship is done God’s way, joy follows.
Worshipers fear God more than People. (vv. 16–23)
Worship is not performance for the crowd; it’s surrender to the King.
Bottom Line:
The right way to worship is God’s way, not ours.
