Welcome!

We're so glad you're here today as we continue our series on Spiritual Gifts.

One of the beautiful things about the Church is that God never intended for one person to do everything. Instead, He brings together people with different gifts, different personalities, and different callings to accomplish His mission together. Just as every part of the human body serves a unique purpose, every believer has a unique role to play in the life of the church.

Today we'll explore three important gifts that often get misunderstood: leadership, shepherding, and evangelism. These are gifts that help move God's people forward, care for God's people well, and invite new people into God's family. While every Christian is called to lead by example, care for others, and share the good news of Jesus, God uniquely equips some believers to do these things with extraordinary effectiveness for the benefit of the whole church.

Along the way, we'll discover an important truth: we often expect one person to do what God designed the whole church to do. Healthy churches aren't built around one gifted leader. They're built as every believer discovers their gifts, develops them, and uses them to serve others.

Whether you've followed Jesus for decades or you're simply curious about what faith is all about, my prayer is that today's message helps you better understand how God has uniquely wired you—and how He desires to use your life to build His Kingdom.

Thank you for worshiping with us today. May God encourage you, challenge you, and remind you that you have an important place in His church.

All for Him!

What you can do for a “next step” of faith.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Benediction

Life is much more than an accident.  Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there.  Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there.  He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.  I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.

Who helps us know where God is leading us?

Romans 12:8 Proverbs 29:18 Exodus 18:13-26

Leaders receive God's vision and help His people move toward His purposes.

The Gift of Shepherding

Who makes sure no one gets left behind?

Ephesians 4:11-12 John 10:11-15 1 Peter 5:2-3

Shepherds lovingly care for people, helping them grow, heal, and remain faithful to Christ.

The Gift of Evangelism

Who helps people find Jesus?

Evangelists joyfully proclaim the Good News so others can place their faith in Christ.

5-Day Devotional and Prayer Focus

Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts

Day 1 – Leadership - Exodus 3:1-12; Romans 12:8Godly leadership begins by listening. Before Moses led God's people, he first learned to hear God's voice.

Consider… Am I following God's direction or my own?

Prayer: Lord, help me hear Your voice and follow Your leading.

Day 2 – Shepherding - John 10:11-18; 1 Peter 5:1-4Jesus knows His sheep by name. Shepherds reflect His heart by caring for people one life at a time.

Consider…Who needs my encouragement this week?

Prayer: Jesus, give me Your heart to care for others.

Day 3 – Evangelism - Acts 8:26-40; 2 Timothy 4:5The gospel is good news meant to be shared. Every Christian is a witness, and some are especially gifted to help others meet Jesus.

Consider… Who could I tell about Jesus this week?

Prayer: Holy Spirit, give me courage to share the hope I have in Christ.

Day 4 – Gift or Discipline? - 1 Corinthians 12:4-11Some ministries come naturally because they're spiritual gifts. Others require faithful discipline. Both honor God.

Consider… Where has God gifted me? Where is He growing me?

Prayer: Father, help me faithfully use my gifts and obey You in every area.

Day 5 – The Greatest Gift - 1 Corinthians 13:1-13Every spiritual gift must be guided by love. Gifts build the church, but love reflects the heart of Christ.

Consider… Is love shaping the way I serve others?

Prayer: Lord, let everything I do be filled with Your love.
