Welcome to Worship!
We’re so glad you’ve joined us today for this special Pentecost Sunday. Whether you’ve been part of this church family for years or today is your first time with us, we’re thankful you’re here—and we believe God has something to say to each of us.
This week’s message, “Not That Spirit,” brings us into 2 Samuel 3, where David’s kingdom is growing, but not everyone is surrendering to God’s will. Through the stories of Abner, Joab, and David, we’ll see how pride, rebellion, and partial obedience can keep us from fully experiencing the life God desires for us. It’s a timely reminder that God’s patience should never be mistaken for His approval—He’s calling us to live by His Spirit, not our own strength.
Each week, we invite you to take part in the life of our church as we pursue Christ together:
Gathering in worship and fellowship
Growing in God’s Word and spiritual practices
Serving one another and our community
If you have questions or want to connect more deeply, I’d love to talk with you. You can reach me at 410-639-2144 or use the cards in your pew.
Today is a celebration of promise, power, and purpose—may the Holy Spirit breathe into you as we worship, remember, and renew.
All for Him!
Pastor Gary

Benediction | Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am. I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power. |

Daily Devotional Reading:
Wake-Up Call provides a daily encouragement to shake off the slumber of our busy lives and turn our eyes toward Jesus. Each morning our community gathers around a Scripture, a reflection, a prayer, and a few short questions, inviting us to reorient our lives around the love of Jesus who transforms our hearts, homes, churches, and cities.

Monday – Our Personal Holiness: God, make us more like Jesus. Purify our hearts, align our desires with Yours, and give us strength to walk in obedience even when it’s hard. 1 Peter 1:15-16
Tuesday – The Next Generation: God, raise up children, teens, and young adults who know You deeply and follow You boldly. Let our church pour into them with wisdom, truth, and love. Psalm 145:4
Wednesday – Those Seeking Direction: God, guide those in our church who are facing decisions or feeling uncertain. Speak through Your Word, confirm by Your Spirit, and lead them in peace. Proverbs 3:5-6
Thursday – Our Community Impact: God, open doors for our church to be a blessing in our neighborhood. Help us see the needs around us and respond with compassion, truth, and service. Micah 6:8
Friday – Our Work and Witness in Daily Life: God, use our work, conversations, and everyday actions as opportunities to glorify You. Let us be faithful and fruitful wherever You’ve placed us. Colossians 3:23-24
