Welcome to Worship!

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

We’re so glad you’re here to celebrate Easter with us. Today we rejoice in the greatest news the world has ever heard: Jesus Christ is alive! The cross was not the end, and the tomb could not hold Him. His resurrection changes everything—giving us hope in our suffering, peace in our uncertainty, and life in the midst of death.

This morning’s message takes us to an unexpected place: a quiet chapter in the life of David, long before the resurrection. In 1 Samuel 27, David—though chosen by God—lets fear speak louder than faith and runs from the very promises God gave him. It’s a powerful reminder that when doubt is left unchallenged, it can lead to unbelief—and unbelief leads us away from God’s best.

But Easter tells a better story. Jesus didn’t give in to fear. He walked through death with full trust in the Father—and now invites us to trust Him too. Whatever doubts or struggles you bring today, know this: The empty tomb is God’s answer to every fear.

We pray today’s service helps you celebrate the resurrection with joy and hear God’s personal invitation to deeper faith, renewed hope, and lasting peace.

If you have any questions or want to get connected, I’d love to hear from you! You can reach me at 410-639-2144 or use the question cards in the pew.

Christ is risen—let’s worship Him together!

All for Him!

What you can do for a “next step” of faith.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Benediction

Life is much more than an accident.  Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there.  Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there.  He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.  I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.

Message Notes

David #11: The Danger of Doubt

1 Samuel 27

A Godless Story

The Danger of - Unchecked - Doubt

Doubt—When Left Unchecked—Leads to the Sin of Unbelief

1 John 5:10, Genesis 3:1–6, Hebrews 11:6

Doubt whispers, but unbelief SHOUTS—‘God can’t be TRUSTED.

Unbelief Bears Real Consequences

Hebrews 3:12–13, James 1:14–15, Isaiah 30:1–2

When faith falters, compromise FOLLOWS.

The Resurrection Calls Us Back to Trust

Romans 4:20–21, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Romans 8:11, Matthew 28:6

The empty tomb is God’s ANSWER to every fear.

Bottom Line:

You can live by fear, or you can live by faith—but not both.

Daily Devotional Reading:

Wake-Up Call provides a daily encouragement to shake off the slumber of our busy lives and turn our eyes toward Jesus. Each morning our community gathers around a Scripture, a reflection, a prayer, and a few short questions, inviting us to reorient our lives around the love of Jesus who transforms our hearts, homes, churches, and cities.
