Welcome to worship.

We’re so glad you’re here today. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been part of our church family for years, we’re grateful you’ve chosen to worship with us.

Today we come to the close of Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount with a message from Matthew 7:21–29. In these final words, Jesus brings everything into focus. He reminds us that faith is not just about what we say—it’s about what we do with what He says.

Jesus paints a clear picture: two people can hear the same truth, build similar lives, and look the same on the outside—but what they’ve built on is revealed when the storms come. The difference is not knowledge, intention, or even activity. The difference is obedience.

At the heart of His message is this truth: what you do with what Jesus says determines the direction of your life. He invites us beyond words and into a real relationship—one that is built on trust, surrender, and obedience.

This morning, we’ll reflect on what it means to truly build our lives on Christ—the only foundation that stands.

Thank you for being here today. If you have any questions or would like to get connected, we would love to hear from you. You can reach the charge office at 410-639-2144 or email me at the link below.

May today’s time of worship help you move from hearing to doing, and from knowing about Jesus to building your life on Him.

All for Him!

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Benediction

Life is much more than an accident.  Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there.  Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there.  He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.  I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.

Your Move...

Matthew 7:21-29

A False Faith Can Look Convincing

Matthew 7:21–23, James 2:17-19, 1 John 2:3–4, 2 Timothy 3:5

Profession, activity, and appearance can exist without genuine relationship.

A Firm Foundation Requires Obedience

Matthew 7:24–27, Luke 8:21, Psalm 1:1–3, 1 Corinthians 3:11–13

The difference between stability and collapse is not hearing—but obeying.

A Real Response Submits to Authority

Matthew 7:28–29, Romans 6:16–18, Luke 9:23, Philippians 2:9–11

Jesus is not just to be admired—He is to be obeyed as Lord.

Bottom Line:

What you do with what Jesus says determines where your life ends up.

Tuesday – Known by You: Jesus, we don’t want to just know about You—we want to be known by You. Lead us into a life of obedience that flows from intimacy with You. Matthew 7:23

Wednesday – A Solid Foundation: Father, help us build our lives on You. Strengthen us to not only hear Your Word, but to put it into practice each day. Matthew 7:24
