Welcome to worship.
We’re so glad you’re here today. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been part of our church family for years, we’re grateful you’ve chosen to worship with us.
Today we continue our journey through Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount as we consider a message titled “Known by the Fruit.” In Matthew 7:15–20, Jesus gives us a clear and important warning: not every voice that sounds right leads in the right direction. In a world full of opinions, advice, and spiritual influence, it can be difficult to know what is truly from God.
Jesus offers us a simple way to discern what is true. He tells us to look at the fruit. Not appearances. Not intentions. Not even how something sounds—but what it produces over time. Because what is rooted deep inside will eventually show up on the outside.
At the heart of His teaching is this truth: the fruit always exposes the root. What we believe, who we listen to, and how we live will ultimately reveal itself in the direction and character of our lives.
This morning we’ll reflect on what it means to grow lives that bear good fruit—lives shaped by truth, grounded in Christ, and marked by love, humility, and obedience. Jesus’ invitation is not simply to be careful who we follow, but to become people whose lives clearly reflect Him.
Thank you for being here today. If you have any questions about our church or would like to learn more about how to get connected, we would love to hear from you. You can reach the charge office at 410-639-2144, or use the question cards located in the pews.
May today’s time of worship help you see clearly, grow deeply, and bear fruit that lasts.
All for Him!
Pastor Gary

Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am. I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.

Sunday – Eyes to Discern: Father, give us eyes to see clearly. Help us recognize what is true and guard us from being led by what only appears right. Matthew 7:15
Monday – Testing the Voices: Lord, teach us to test every voice we listen to. Keep us from believing what is easy instead of what is true. Anchor us in Your Word. 1 John 4:1
Tuesday – Rooted in You: Jesus, keep us rooted in You. Let our lives be shaped by Your truth so that what grows in us reflects Your heart. John 15:4–5
Wednesday – Honest Fruit: Father, help us take an honest look at our lives. Show us what our actions, attitudes, and responses are really producing. Luke 6:44–45
Thursday – Growing Good Fruit: Holy Spirit, grow Your fruit in us—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Make our lives reflect You. Galatians 5:22–23
Friday – A Life That Lasts: Lord, shape our lives into something that endures. Remove what is unfruitful and strengthen what leads to life in You. John 15:2
Saturday – Living What Is True: Father, send us out to live what we believe. Let our lives point others to You—not just by what we say, but by the fruit we bear. Matthew 7:20
