Worship Program - 1/19/25

Writer's picture: Pastor GaryPastor Gary

Welcome to Worship!

We are delighted to have you with us today as we gather to worship, reflect, and grow in our faith together. Whether this is your first visit or you’ve been with us for years, we are excited to share this time with you and pray that it will encourage and inspire you in your walk with Christ.

Today, as we approach the end of a message series through the book of Acts, we follow Paul and the others through a shipwreck. It seems like a disaster, but God chose to work through it to bless the island of Malta and Paul’s companions. This is the good news for us today, God is working through believers today to bless those around us. Today we are reminded, it’s good you’re here.

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus as we live out our faith through three essential practices:

  • Gathering: Our faith is shared, so we gather in worship, fellowship, and small groups to grow together.

  • Growing: Jesus calls us to mature faith. We grow by practicing spiritual disciplines, exploring God’s Word, and inviting others into the journey of faith.

  • Serving: Faith moves us beyond ourselves to love our neighbors as Christ taught us. We serve one another and our community in tangible ways that reflect God’s love.

Thank you for being here today. If you have any questions or want to learn more about how to grow in your faith, I’d love to connect with you.

You can reach me directly at 410-639-2144 or email me at the link below.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Benediction

Life is much more than an accident.  Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there.  Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there.  He has a purpose for me being there - Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.  I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.

If you would like someone to pray with you, please come and meet one of our ministry leaders at the end of the service.

Message Notes

Acts 57: It's Good You're Here

Acts 27:27-28:10

Things are not looking Good

God brings DELIVERANCE through His people.(Acts 27:27-38)

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Genesis 12:3

God brings PROTECTION through His people.(Acts 27:39-44)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10

God brings HEALING through His people.(Acts 28:1-10)

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. Matthew 5:14-15

Bottom Line:

It’s good you’re here –

Not because of you, but because of WHO comes with you.

New Message Series Starts February 2nd

Daily Devotional Reading:

Wake-Up Call provides a daily encouragement to shake off the slumber of our busy lives and turn our eyes toward Jesus. Each morning our community gathers around a Scripture, a reflection, a prayer, and a few short questions, inviting us to reorient our lives around the love of Jesus who transforms our hearts, homes, churches, and cities.
