Welcome to Church!
We're so glad to have you worship with us as we get ready for Christmas. As we gather, I want to make sure you know how grateful we are to have you worship with us. It's a blessing to explore the hope, joy, love, and peace of Advent alongside friends and neighbors.
On this the fourth weekend of Advent, we continue our study of the early church in Acts as we see the miraculous work of God through the church in spite of the circumstances. It’s a story about human nature and the power and grace of God available to us through the Holy Spirit.
After the service, we will have a short information meeting, but before that starts, take a few minutes to engage friends and neighbors in conversation, or spend some time in prayer. We hope you find our church is not just a place of worship but a community of support and love.
Thank you for being a part of our family today. My prayer is that our time together in worship would be a source of inspiration, reflection, and connection in your relationship with Jesus. If you have any questions or want to discuss your faith journey, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. My office telephone is 410-639-2144, or just use the question cards in each pew.
Richest Blessings!

Closing Worship Benediction
Life is much more than an accident. Wherever I go, I believe God needs me there. Wherever I am, I trust God has put me there. He has a purpose for me being there -
Christ, alive in me, wants to do something through me, no matter where I am.
I believe this and go in His grace and His love and His power.
If you would like someone to pray with you, please come and meet one of our ministry leaders at the end of the service.

Message Text
God’s Power and Grace
Acts 5:12-16
The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.
Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.
Take it Home:
What is your life’s purpose? Cna you explain it in one sentence.
How does your life’s purpose bring glory to Jesus?
Do you have a gospel friendship right now? How are things going with that relationship right now?
List one or two practical examples of someone you know walking in the Holy Spirit’s power.
Is there an indication that the Holy Spirit is using you right now for Jesus’s glory.
When was the last time you saw Jesus heal someone?
Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in great power through us this week.
