About the event

Hurricane Florence struck southeast North Carolina with a terrible storm surge. Homes in the lower lying region of the state that had been lifted due to previous flooding were once again flooded.

It has been a long recovery.  Mission groups from the UMC and the Southern Baptist church have been working tirelessly in the region. 🎥View a video of the work from early on HERE.🎬

July 25-31, we are traveling down to lend a hand.  Take a look at the video for a highlight of the rebuild effort.

We will be taking adults, middle and high school aged students to work on projects that are related to the raising of homes above flood stage.

We will be staying in a newly constructed bunk house at Jordans Chapel UMC which has separate male and female sleeping quarters and bathrooms as well as common areas for nightly worship, group meetings, and meals.  In our free time we will be traveling to the beach as well.

To receive the paperwork required to attend  the trip, please complete a registration form linked above.
